Sigma is a sell-side mergers and acquisitions advisory firm based in Dallas, Texas, serving business owners across the United States.

• Information you give us. When you request a valuation, ask about Exit Readiness, register for listing alerts or contact us, we collect your name, phone number, email address, business website, number of employees, anything you write in a message field, and whether you have agreed to receive marketing emails from us or, on the listing-alerts form, text messages about new listings.
• Information you give us later. If you engage Sigma, we receive financial statements, tax returns, operating information and other business records. That information is covered by your engagement agreement and by the confidentiality section below, not only by this statement.
• Information collected automatically. IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, time on page, and the site or search that referred you. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies.

To respond to you, prepare a valuation, deliver the services you asked for, send you information you requested, improve the website, and meet our legal and record-keeping obligations. We use it to market our own services to you. We do not sell it.

If you check the email consent box on our valuation form, we may email you about our services. You can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link in any message, by emailing info@sigmamergers.com, or by calling 214-214-9400.

If you check the SMS consent box on our listing-alerts form, we may text you about new business listings. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Consent is not a condition of any purchase or service. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

We use cookies and similar technologies for site functionality and analytics, and we use Google Analytics and advertising pixels to understand how the site is used and to show our own advertising to people who have visited it. You can refuse or delete cookies in your browser. We honor Global Privacy Control signals. Opt out of Google Analytics at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout and manage Google ad personalization at adssettings.google.com.

• Service providers who work for us and are contractually bound to use your information only to provide those services — our customer relationship management platform, our email and text messaging providers, our website host, our analytics providers, and the platform that runs our business listings and buyer registration. They may not use your information for their own purposes.
• Professionals working on your transaction, where you have engaged us and where it is necessary to complete the work.
• Anyone we are legally required to share it with, or where sharing is necessary to protect our rights or someone’s safety.

This is the part that matters most in our business. If you are a seller, the details of your business are confidential from your first call. We do not market your business with identifying information. Every prospective buyer signs a non-disclosure agreement before receiving any detail about your company. Our service providers are contractually prohibited from using anything they process for us for their own purposes. If you are a buyer, the information you provide when you register and sign an NDA is used to qualify you and to match you to listings.

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Inquiry and contact information: as long as needed to respond and for our legitimate business records, then deleted on request. Engagement records: for the period required by our professional and legal obligations. Email and text messaging consent and opt-out records: for as long as required to demonstrate compliance.

• You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask for a copy of it, opt out of marketing email by using the unsubscribe link in any message, and opt out of text messages by replying STOP.
• Depending on where you live — including California, Texas, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut and a growing number of other states — you may have additional rights, including the right to appeal a decision we make about your request.
